CEMETERY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Our cemeteries are a sacred and religious place. All visitors are expected to show respect for the grounds and those laid to rest here.
GENERAL RULES
- Please help maintain the beauty and condition of the cemetery
- Dispose of all trash in designated containers
- Littering of any kind is strictly prohibited
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
- No alcohol or illegal drug use on cemetery or church property
- No snowmobiles, ATVs, or recreational vehicles
- No open flames of any kind
ANIMALS
- Pets are not allowed unless kept inside a vehicle or on a leash at all times
DECORATIONS
- Fresh grave bouquets are permitted for up to 30 days
- Artificial flowers and decorations may be removed if faded or damaged
- The following items are not permitted and will be removed:
- Toys and stuffed animals
- Ornaments, shells, and hats
- Glass, pottery, or breakable containers
- Bottles and potted plants
SEASONAL GUIDELINES
- Spring & summer decorations must be removed by October 15
- Fall & winter decorations must be removed by April 15
Any items remaining after these dates may be removed and disposed of by cemetery personnel. LANDSCAPING
- No trees, shrubs, flowers, or plants may be planted on gravesites
NOTICE Maintenance of the cemetery is challenging due to uneven terrain and numerous markers. Your cooperation is appreciated. These rules apply to all of St. Michaels Cemeteries, St. Michael (located on VV), St. Joseph (located in South Branch) & Our Lady of the Woods (located in West Branch.).
These rules are established in accordance with the Menominee Tribal Legislature and the Diocese ofGreen Bay.
